Magnificent Mercedes 380 SL (R107) presented in a rare and elegant “triple black” configuration, featuring black bodywork, black interior, and a black soft top.

Originally from California, this 380 SL is in very sound condition and completely rust-free. It shows 100,000 miles (160,000 km), with mileage fully traceable thanks to an extensive file of invoices totaling over $20,000, as well as its Carfax report, which documents the mileage history back to 1990, when the car had 40,400 miles.

The most recent service was carried out in November 2025 and included engine, gearbox, and differential oil changes, along with replacement of all filters. Mechanically, there is nothing to be expected. The 3.8-liter V8 engine runs perfectly, and this model is equipped with ABS as well as a double timing chain.

The air conditioning has been converted to R134A and operates perfectly.

The original interior is in very fine condition, both in terms of the leather upholstery and the wood trim. The black soft top, replaced a few years ago, is also in excellent condition.

The paintwork is of very high quality. However, a few light scratches can be noted on the rear cover of the soft top. All four tires were replaced in 2021. The US-spec bumpers have recently been replaced with European-spec bumpers.

Equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission and power steering, this SL is very easy to drive on all types of roads. It can be enjoyed year-round, either with the hardtop fitted in winter or driven open-top in summer.
