Beautiful 1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1302 LS Karmann Convertible

Sportwagen Paris is pleased to offer this beautiful Volkswagen Beetle 1302 LS Karmann Convertible, delivered new in Sweden in 1972.

It has had only four owners from new. Its previous owner kept the car for nearly 25 years, taking particularly good care of it and only using it in fine weather.

The car comes with its original owner’s manual as well as an extensive file of invoices documenting regular maintenance over the years. This history also allows its mileage to be traced, with the odometer currently showing 88,200 km.

Mechanically, it is powered by the 1,584 cc flat-four engine producing 50 hp. It runs perfectly and has just been serviced by a specialist.

The bodywork is sound and free from corrosion. The floors are also in very good condition, as can be seen in the extensive photo gallery.

The interior has never been restored and remains very well preserved for its age, retaining all the charm of an original, well-cared-for car. The soft top is more recent and is in perfect condition.

With its 50 hp engine, this Beetle Convertible is perfectly capable of covering long distances, although it naturally feels more at home on country roads than on motorways. Easy to drive, full of character and offering seating for four, it remains one of the most iconic and accessible convertibles of its era.
