Rare Mercedes 450 SL (W107) with full history – 1-year warranty

We are pleased to offer a superb 450 SL in its rare original China Blue color, paired with a beige interior and a recent dark blue soft top.

One of the major strengths of this example is its impeccable history: only two owners since 1980 — the first from 1980 to 2013, and the second from 2013 to today.

The history is complete, with all maintenance invoices as well as the original owner’s manuals. The mileage of 132,500 miles (212,000 km) can therefore be certified and remains quite low for a 45-year-old car.

A major service has just been carried out by a specialist (invoice of €5,200), including:

• Engine and gearbox oil change with filter replacement

• Replacement of both flex discs

• Replacement of the timing chain

• Replacement of the fuel pump, right and left valve cover gaskets, transmission strainer, control arm ball joints, engine, gearbox and front axle bushings, as well as the brake hoses

• Wheel alignment

• And more

The bodywork is sound and free of corrosion. The paint is original, and the car has never been repainted, which is particularly rare for a vehicle from the 1980s and demonstrates the level of care provided by its two owners.

For aesthetic reasons, the North American bumpers were replaced with European-spec units.

In the late 1980s, the 450 SL represented the top of the SL range, and 92% of the models were sold in North America.

Today, thanks to its timeless design, it remains a highly desirable car and very pleasant to drive, especially with its power steering and automatic transmission.

While not a pure sports car, the 450 SL is perfectly usable for any distance. It is equally enjoyable to drive with the top down on sunny days or with the hard top installed in winter.

The SL models still offer an excellent price-to-quality ratio and great mechanical reliability.
