Superb Mercedes 500 SL (R129) finished in the very rare Smoke Silver metallic (paint code 702), with a beautiful beige leather interior.

The last owner, who had owned the car since 2011, only used this 500 SL during the summer months and kept it stored in a dry environment for the rest of the year. Its mileage of 57,500 miles (92,000 km) is genuine and can be traced back to 1991.

Delivered new in the United States in 1991, our 500 SL is in outstanding condition. The bodywork is sound, with no dents, scratches or other imperfections.

The beige leather interior is also in very good condition, as is the dark brown soft top. We have noted two small marks on the soft top, but these are superficial only.

Mechanically, the car has just undergone a very comprehensive service at a Mercedes-Benz specialist, at a cost of over €8,000. Work carried out includes replacement of the front shock absorbers and top mounts, steering linkage, shock absorber dust boot, engine, gearbox and differential oil changes with filters, gearbox filter and strainer, drive belt, tensioner pulley, distributor rotor, spark plugs, refurbishment of the soft-top hydraulic cylinders, brake servo, fuel pump, wheel alignment, air conditioning recharge, and much more.

As a result, no work is required.
