Sportwagen Paris is pleased to offer this beautiful Volvo 240 GL, first registered in January 1989 and exceptionally well preserved.

Over 37 years, it has covered just 117,800 km, representing an average of approximately 3,200 km per year. This is particularly low mileage for a Volvo 240, and its history can be traced through an extensive file of invoices together with all of its previous roadworthiness inspection records.

The original service book and owner’s manual are also present, completing a particularly comprehensive history for a car of this age.

The condition of this example is undoubtedly one of its greatest strengths. The bodywork still retains its original paint and has never been repainted. The underside is sound and in good condition, with no corrosion.

The interior is in remarkable condition, close to new, with the upholstery, trim and equipment showing virtually no signs of wear. A level of preservation that has become increasingly difficult to find on a 240 of this generation.

This GL version was only used during the warmer months in Sweden, which helps explain its overall condition and the excellent preservation of its bodywork.

Under the bonnet is the 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine producing 116 hp, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. A simple and proven powertrain that gives the 240 great versatility, making it equally suitable for everyday use or covering long distances in comfort.

Over the decades, the Volvo 240 has earned a reputation as an almost indestructible family car, capable of covering several hundred thousand kilometres when properly maintained.
